In zijn werk is Daniël Martin altijd op zoek naar verdieping in opbouw, structuur en textuur. Waar Daniël tegen ‘beperkingen’ van de fysieke schilderkunst aanloopt zoekt hij zijn toevlucht in digitale kunst, waar hij zijn kunstwerken tot in het oneindige gelaagdheid in opbouw van structuur en textuur kan geven. Zijn digitale zoektocht naar verdieping achter het oppervlakte lijdt tot een fascinerende oneindige gedetailleerdheid waarbij hij kunst weet te creëren die eigenlijk niet fysiek te produceren valt. Door recente ontwikkelingen in precisie van 3-D printers en laser snijders weet Daniël echter toch steeds vaker zijn digitale kunstwerken tot leven te brengen.
De eerste resultaten van de samensmelting van digitale- naar fysieke kunstwerken toont Daniël Martin met verbluffende werken in zijn duo-expositie ‘Traces’ samen met de Mexicaanse kunstenaar Santiago Pani.
1 van de opvallendste werken zijn de werken uit de 3-D geprinte ‘Symbol’-series. 3-D geprinte resin rozen, die aan de voorzijde een bijna zijde-achtige textuur hebben maar onder het oppervlakte een fascinerende industriele constructie laat zien die tot dat verfijnde oppervlakte leidt.
De ‘Symbol’-series zijn in een kleine oplage van 25 stuks per kleur vervaardigd en worden gepresenteerd op een handgemaakte houten presentatie voetstuk met passende plexiglas kap.

In his work, Daniël Martin is constantly searching for depth in composition, structure, and texture. When he encounters the limitations of traditional painting, he turns to digital art, where he can infinitely layer and manipulate structure and texture. His digital exploration beneath the surface results in a fascinating, endlessly detailed visual language—artworks that would be nearly impossible to produce physically.
However, thanks to recent advancements in high-precision 3D printing and laser-cutting technologies, Daniël has increasingly been able to bring his digital creations to life.
The first outcomes of this fusion between digital and physical art were showcased in his striking duo exhibition ‘Traces’, in collaboration with Mexican artist Santiago Pani.
One of the most remarkable pieces from this body of work is the ‘Symbol’-series: 3D-printed resin Roses that feature an almost silk-like texture on the surface, while beneath lies a captivating industrial structure—revealing the hidden complexity that leads to the delicate outer form.
The ‘Symbol’-series are produced in a limited edition of 25 pieces per color and are presented on a handcrafted wooden base with a custom-fitted plexiglass cover.
